报告摘要:Since first proposed in 1981, the Lucas-Kanade gradient-based  optical flow algorithm has become one of the most widely used computational  imaging techniques in computer vision, target tracking, motion estimation, mosaic image construction, medical image registration, and many other applications. In this talk, the original formulation of the Lucas-Kanade  optical flow algorithm will be presented and its subsequent extensions will  be described with a particular focus on their developments in the field of experimental mechanics. As full-field deformation measurement techniques  based the Lucas-Kanade optical flow algorithm and many of its variants have been increasingly used in applications such as mechanical testing, constitutive model validation, and microscale structures and materials  characterization, the impact of computational optical flow on experimental  metrology in solid mechanics is now similar to that of the laser optics  first developed since 1960s. Finally, some potential opportunities in  further development of the optical flow algorithm for improved measurement  accuracy and precision with reduced implementation complexity and  computational cost will also be discussed.
报告人简介:童玮,现为美国Southern Methodist大学(SMU)教授。主要研究方向为生物材料力学,基于图像的全场位移应变测量技术,塑性力学。在动态压剪加载和应力波传播,纳米和生物组织力学性能研究,以及全场位移和应变测试技术等方面做出了领先的工作,获得多项奖项。
